Job Title – Asssociate Director - Director, Clinical Supply Services

Summary Associate Director/Director, Clinical Supply Services is responsible for overseeing and managing the US CSS operations including planning, labeling, packaging, and distributing clinical trial materials, ensuring compliance with regulations and GMP standards, building best operational practices, and nurturing trusting relationships. Key responsibilities include directing the CSS depot, managing vendors, and collaborating with cross functional departments to achieve short term and long term business objectives and project timelines.

 

Responsibilites 

  • Lead a team of clinical supply professionals responsible for developing and implementing clinical supplies strategies to ensure appropriate processes are established and clinical supplies deliverables are met for clients.

  • Mentor a team of clinical supply professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

  • Manage clinical supply activities including planning and forecasting of clinical supply, oversight of clinical packaging, labeling, and distribution operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage supply and demand planning, mitigate risks, and drive innovation within clinical supply chain processes.

  • Provide strategic leadership to internal and external teams, ensuring all clinical supply chain activities support broader organizational goals.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to create and execute clinical supply plan and distribution strategy

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal clinical supply processes, SOPs, and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance.

  • Anticipate potential supply chain challenges and proactively develop mitigation strategies.

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication.

  • Ensure compliance with regulations, guidelines, and client-specific requirements.

  • Participate in audits and inspections as required.

  • Manage inventories at the depot and ensure on-time delivery to the destination that designated by the client

  • Collaborate with cross functional groups and external groups to facilitate the return of investigational drug product

  • Manage external service providers on project requirements

  • Work with Import/Export team to ensure the investigational drug product is cleared through custom and delivered to the depot.

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's or Ph.D. degree in Biotech, Pharmaceutics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in clinical supply chain and logistics, with at least 5 years managing global teams.

  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical supply chain processes, including packaging, labeling, and cold chain logistics.

  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.

  • Read, write and speak fluent English

  • Read and speak Mandarin is a plus

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel

  • Ability to work in ambiguity and develop solutions

  • Relevant certifications are preferred

  • Experience working within a CDMO environment is a plus

  • Experience with cold chain logistics and management.
