As an Engineering Capital SME, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our engineering capital projects. This position is based in the United States, with the flexibility to work remotely and present on-site as needed. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to assess and optimize our capital investments, financial controls, and project management processes. 

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Engineering Capital Expertise 
  • Evaluate financial data, project budgets, and investment decisions related to engineering capital projects. 
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance project efficiency and mitigate risks. 
  1. Internal Audit Excellence 
  • Develop CapEx project audit plan per annual department goals.
  • Conduct thorough audits throughout the project lifecycle, from project initiation to completion. 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices. 
  • Implement and monitor remediation.
  1. Financial Controls Assessment 
  • Evaluate internal controls associated with engineering capital expenditures. 
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to maintain accuracy, transparency, and accountability in financial reporting. 

 

  1. Project Management Oversight 
  • Monitor project milestones, cost projections, and resource allocation. 
  • Identify deviations and propose corrective actions. 
  1. Stakeholder Collaboration 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and project management. 
  • Foster strong relationships to drive alignment and achieve project goals. 
  1. Risk Mitigation 
  • Identify and assess risks related to engineering capital projects. 
  • Develop strategies to minimize financial, operational, and compliance risks. 
  1. Reporting and Documentation 
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports, risk assessments, and process improvement recommendations. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation for future reference. 
  1. Department head assigned other tasks

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) are advantageous. 

 A minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience in engineering capital projects, financial analysis, and project controls. 

  • Proficiency in design/build engineering CapEx project in US.
  • Know-how in financial modeling, budgeting, and cost analysis. 
  • Strong understanding of project management principles. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Attention to detail and analytical mindset. 
  • Familiarity with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks. 

 

 

Salary Range for this position is 161k-274k
