Silicone oil serves as a lubricant in prefilled syringes (PFSs) and its quantity significantly impacts the functionality of the syringes. Consequently, monitoring silicone oil layer thickness and distribution is crucial for understanding the impact on the functionality and/or stability of a combo product. In this poster, we detail our comprehensive approach for measuring silicone oil thickness in both empty and filled syringes.
