Single-Use Bioreactors
WuXi Biologics operates several of the world’s largest biologics cGMP manufacturing facilities that exclusively use single-use/disposable bioreactors at scales ranging from 200 L to 4,000 L. Compared with traditional stainless steel bioreactor facilities, our use of multiple single-use bioreactors offers a highly flexible manufacturing strategy, is environmentally friendly, and provides a competitive cost structure. WuXi Biologics currently maintains a single-use bioreactor capacity of over 90,000 L (150,000 L by the end of 2021) and after 2024 will expand its use of disposable bioreactors globally to over 430,000 L.
