Summary:

As a Project Control Lead for Biotechnologies  Capital Projects, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the financial, schedule, and performance aspects of capital projects within the pharmaceutical industry. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure effective project planning, monitoring, and control throughout all phases of project execution. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and finance professionals to ensure project objectives are met within budget, scope, and schedule constraints.

 

Responsibilities:

Project Planning:

· Develop comprehensive project control plans encompassing cost, schedule, scope, and quality management strategies.

· Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to establish project baselines and performance metrics.

Cost Management:

· Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying and addressing cost variances.

· Conduct cost forecasting and analysis to support project decision-making.

· Implement cost control measures to optimize project financial performance.

 Schedule Management:

· Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and objectives.

· Monitor schedule performance, identify schedule risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.

· Coordinate with project teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and constraints.

Performance Reporting:

· Prepare regular project status reports, highlighting key performance indicators and project metrics.

· Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders and leadership.

· Provide insights and recommendations for improving project performance and efficiency.

5. Risk Management:

· Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation plans in collaboration with project teams.

· Monitor and assess risk exposure throughout the project lifecycle, proactively addressing emerging risks.

· Escalate critical risks and issues to project leadership for timely resolution.

6. Change Management:

· Manage project scope changes, assessing their impact on project objectives and deliverables.

· Facilitate change control processes, ensuring proper documentation and approval of scope changes.

· Monitor and track changes to project scope, schedule, and budget.

7. Stakeholder Management:

· Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders.

· Coordinate stakeholder meetings and reviews to gather feedback and ensure alignment on project objectives.

· Address stakeholder concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

8. Quality Assurance:

· Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

· Implement quality control measures to monitor and evaluate project deliverables.

· Facilitate quality audits and inspections to verify compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

· Proficiency in project management tools and software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and/or SAP or others.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Proven track record of successfully managing project budgets, schedules, and risks.

· Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards governing pharmaceutical capital projects.

· PMP or equivalent project management certification is desirable.
