Job Title - Facility Mechanic

Work Location - Cranbury NJ

Shift/Schedule - M-F, 9am-5pm with OT

 

  1. Job Summary

     Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facility in need of a facilities mechanic. This is an entry-level position that will train you to become an accomplished process mechanic. The position requires the individual in this role to be polite, professional, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Having a keen eye for detail, being thorough, and demonstrating solid safety habits is mandatory. You must also possess the necessary physical abilities requirements of this position

 

 

  1. Essential Job Functions
  • Perform preventative, Predictive, and operating maintenance of black utilities (i.e., boilers, chillers, generators, waste treatment), clean utilities (i.e., clean steam, deionized (DI), and Water for Injection (WFI)), and related equipment, including safety valves, regulators, steam traps, automatic control mechanisms, pumps, etc.
  • Strict adherence to all safety-related policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to follow Job Plans (JPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Initiate review and close work orders using the Maximo CMMS system
  • Reviews current assigned work orders, verifies parts are in stock, and completes PMs on time
  • Be able to repair & maintain machinery and mechanical equipment throughout the facility.
  • Effectively & safely operate and maintain general manufacturing equipment.
  • Be proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments daily.
  • Maintain logs of readings and maintenance reports of operating machinery from meters, micro-processors, pressure gauges, and thermometers.
  • Actively troubleshoot utility systems during unplanned shutdowns, with the goal of minimizing equipment downtime
  • Network and work closely with other members of the maintenance team on all related utilities.
  • Improves their knowledge and skill set through additional training
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the utility room.

 

 

  1. Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Tech school training with discipline in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and or instrumentation
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting on mechanical systems
  • Effective verbal and written English skills
  • Excellent time management, self-motivation, and goal/task-driven mindset
  • Quality documentation with clean handwriting and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently as well as within teams or groups
  • Ability to read instructions, procedures, technical manuals, and drawings
  • Ability to work safely with and around electrical circuits and plant/utilities systems
  • Other job duties as required or directed by management

 

The anticipated hourly rate for job is $20-$30hr
