Impact of Siliconization Type and Formulation on Functionality of Prefilled Syringe

With the remarkably strong growth of the biopharmaceutical market, an increasing demand for self-administration and rising competitions attract substantial interest to the drug/biologic-device combination products. As prefilled syringes (PFS) continue to be a preferred combinational product, we aimed to systematically investigate the impact of siliconization type and commonly seen formulation variables on the break loose and glide force (BLGF) of prefilled syringe loaded with drugs/biologics.
