  • Employment Compliance

We strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment where employees are treated with dignity and respect, and are free from inappropriate behaviors such as bullying, harassment, and discrimination.

The company is committed to providing paid annual leave to all employees. In addition to the statutory leave, we also provide welfare leave and high-temperature leave. We encourage employees to take their leave within the year to support their well-being. Leave usage is tracked via an online system, with reminders sent in the second half of the year to employees with a high leave balance. Unused annual leave can be carried over to the next year as welfare leave, in accordance with company policy.

  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)

We actively hire diverse talents, and ensure equitable opportunities are available to all.

In 2023, the DEI Committee of WuXi Biologics was established, consisting of representatives from various departments and different countries. The committee is responsible for directing and developing DEI objectives and strategies, overseeing the progress of DEI projects and conducting performance tracking, among other duties.

We have set targets of achieving balanced overall gender representation, and having 45% of managerial positions held by women across our global operations. To reach these goals, we have undertaken several initiatives, including Women Leadership Forums and a global WiSTEM program.

  • Talent Development

WuXi Biologics truly cares about and invests in our people, striving to develop a skilled and motivated workforce that is fully equipped to meet the challenges of the future. We inculcate a culture of continuous learning, where employees are provided with a variety of training programs and career development opportunities to help them grow and succeed.

To effectively identify, develop, retain, and grow our talents, WuXi Biologics established a comprehensive individual performance management and review system. The Company’s key performance indicators are cascaded down to the teams and individuals. Supervisors and employees jointly discuss and form agreed upon measurable performance targets. During the individual performance mid-year and annual performance review, we analyze each employee’s current competency and develop an Individual Development Plan (IDP) that aligns with their personal career development targets and organizational objectives. Apart from regular reviews of team goals and personal goals twice per year, continuous conversations and feedback between employees and their supervisors are required to keep track of progress and ultimately achieve the performance targets for both individuals and organization.

WuXi Biologics remains committed to maintaining fair and competitive compensation and incentive systems that drive employee engagement, enhance overall performance, and sustain corporate growth. Through regular compensation monitoring and strategic analysis, the Company aligns its remuneration framework with market trends and corporate objectives. In 2025, we launched a company-wide Living Wage Assessment, covering all employees across our operating locations. The assessment leveraged authoritative third-party data sources, including WageIndicator. This initiative provides a data-driven foundation for continuously optimizing our compensation strategy to better support employees’ living needs and overall well-being.

  • Employee Engagement

A great variety of transparent and inclusive communication channels are available to help create a strong bond between managers and general staff. In addition, we listen attentively to the requests and opinions of our employees, and seek to proactively address problems through designed initiatives.

Communities

We see community engagement as a vital part of our aim to create positive social impacts.

  • Focused on these three pillars, we aim to make positive contributions to social and environmental well-being. We have established WuXi Biologics Charity Foundation and WuXi Biologics Volunteer Association, and continue to systematically implement our CSR strategy.

An important part of that is the work we do with global clients to bring their novel treatments to patients with rare diseases. By the end of 2024, there have been 21 integrated projects of rare disease on our platform.
