Two Minute Tuesday Technical Training
Two Minute Tuesday: Featured Video
About Two Minute Tuesday (TMT) videos
The Keck Graduate Institute and WuXi Biologics have teamed together to provide technical training videos for the bioprocessing industry. Because we know you are busy working professionals we have condensed these videos into 2-3 minute segments dedicated to a particular topic. We will deliver via email every Tuesday another topic for you to peruse at your leisure. Whether you are new to or have several years’ experience working in the biologics industry and regardless if you are a research scientist/engineer or C-Level executive, these short videos can quickly get you up-to-speed in understanding the complexities of biologics drug development and manufacturing. To watch more of these videos see below our Two Minute Tuesday training video archive.
Cell Culture Development Training Series
This training video focuses on the basics of biologics development and outlines the common steps in a modern bioproduction process, particularly the cell culture (or upstream) unit operations.
Dissolved Oxygen and CO2
This training video explains in detail how different oxygen and carbon dioxide levels would affect cell growth and product quality and how we closely monitor these two parameters in bioreactors during the production process.
This training video discusses the important considerations in the introduction of air and thus oxygen into cell culture media via sparging and talks about the common types of sparging equipment.
This training video reviews the impact of mixing within a bioreactor during the production process, the influencing factors on the mixing results and the key measures to manage and control mixing.
Aeration Part 1
This training video is part 1 of a tutorial on the impact of aeration on cell culture production and discusses optimizing the delivery of oxygen to the cells and the rate limiting factors that can impact this critical aspect of bioproduction.
Aeration Part 2
This training video is part two of the tutorial on aeration and it looks at various factors that can impact Kla such as mixing, air flow and air-liquid interfacial surface area.
Chemically defined media
This training video focuses on the importance of culture media in the overall cell culture development process, the critical components that comprise chemically defined media and reviews the evolution of culture media over time.
This training video on pH details its importance for optimal cell growth within a bioreactor, what factors can impact pH and how to control the pH of the growth media during production.
